Glutathione

The body cannot survive without Glutathione. So why is not more heard  about it?

Chances are, you'll be hearing a lot more about Glutathione in the future; given its importance in a healthy body's natural functions, not to mention a number of groundbreaking studies involving Glutathione and a variety of diseases. Please view the following video, of Dr Mark Hyman, for information on the "mother" of all antioxidants, Glutathione.

The information in the following video describes the use by Dr. Perlmutter of intravenous glutathione in Parkinson's disease, at the Perlmutter Health Center, Naples, Florida, . The improvement in each patient after IV glutathione is starkly noticeable. The video should not be used in and of itself to diagnose or treat any specific medical condition.

Not All Glutathione Is Created Equal

Your Solution Compounding Pharmacy offers pharmaceutical grade Glutathione in numerous delivery forms: intravenous, nebulised, nasal spray, transdermal and oral dosage forms.

For intravenous administration we use a method of preparation, developed in our own laboratory, that enhances Glutathione's stability, thus allowing physicians to administer it in near 100% reduced form. Which is the reason why so many leading physicians use Your Solution Compounding Pharmacy as their sole source Reduced-L-Glutathione.

Reduced L-glutathione, most commonly called glutathione or GSH, is the most powerful naturally occurring antioxidant in all human cells, and is often referred to as the body's "master antioxidant".

Composed of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine, this tri-peptide helps to detoxify the body and neutralize free radicals while supporting the immune system. It is known for its role in providing antioxidant protection for the body's tissues, including the arteries, brain, heart, liver, lungs, and skin. Glutathione levels decrease as the body ages.

All cells in the human body are capable of synthesizing glutathione. But the highest concentration of glutathione is found in the liver, making it critically important in the detoxification and elimination of free radicals.  Free radicals are highly reactive compounds created in the body during normal metabolic functions, though they can also enter the body by virtue of their presence in the environment in various forms. Accumulation of these compounds can result in oxidative stress, which occurs when the generation of free radicals in the body exceeds the body's ability to neutralize and eliminate them.

Metabolically, glutathione has many functions. As previously mentioned, glutathione plays a substantial role in the functioning of the body's immune system. Its antioxidant property makes it vital to white blood cells (lymphocytes). It allows them to reach their full potential during the oxygen-requiring activity of the body's immune response. White blood cells in their immune response aid in detoxification of the body, thus as glutathione levels decrease, so does the body's ability to eliminate toxins. This leads to the death of white blood cells, thereby weakening the body's immune system. Low levels of glutathione have been indicated in many autoimmune disorders and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, Autism, HIV, MS Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc.

Glutathione is beneficial in Parkinson's disease, because it has the unique ability to increase the dopamine receptors' sensitivity, making certain areas of the brain more sensitive to dopamine despite the decreased levels associated with this condition.

Glutathione has also been used to help treat Aging, Autism, Cancer, Chemotherapy recovery, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and for Detoxification, Drug addiction, Emphysema, Fibromyalgia, Glaucoma, Hepatitis, Hypoglycemia, Kidney disease, Liver disease, Liver cancer, Mercury poisoning, Parkinson's disease, Respiratory problems such as cystic and pulmonary fibrosis, Smoking and Tuberculosis, to name a few.

Other antioxidants in the body depend on glutathione as well. Glutathione recycles vitamins C and E after they have been oxidized, herefore playing a decisive role in their normal function.

ENVIRONMENTAL OXIDATIVE STRESSORS THAT CAN DEPLETE GLUTATHIONE INCLUDE:
